Driveway detector PIR iCamera SMART

This driveway detector PIR iCamera SMART from Ajax Systems is an IP54 outdoor motion camera powered by a battery and a wireless Hub 2. It connects to your modem via an Ethernet cable or SIM card. When the outdoor motion camera detects motion, you'll receive a push notification on your phone with one or more photos.

How does the Driveway Alarm PIR iCamera SMART work:
The Hub 2 is the base station of the Ajax system. It can be connected to your router with the included Ethernet cable or fitted with a SIM card to connect to the internet. You then install an app on your smartphone. This app allows you to configure the outdoor motion camera and set how you want the system to operate. The battery-powered motion detector sends a wireless signal to the hub, along with one or more photos. You then place the outdoor motion camera outside in the location you want to protect. If you also want an audible signal, you can expand the system with an indoor siren that has a chime function.

No monthly fees:
Unlike many alarm systems Ajax alarm systems have no monthly subscription fees. The app is free to use, and any firmware updates are included in the purchase price. Of course, any costs for internet access and/or a connection to an external monitoring station are not included in the purchase price.

Expanding the Driveway Alarm PIR iCamera SMART:

Wireless but secure:
While other wireless alarm systems risk jamming or disrupting the signal, the Ajax Systems SMART alarm system has a special feature to address this. Communication between the Hub 2 and the detectors is two-way. This means that every 12-300 seconds (configurable) a check is made to see if the detectors are still responding. If a connection can no longer be established, the system will trigger an alarm.
