Smoke and heat detection

The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB is equipped with two sensors: a smoke detector and a temperature sensor. The smoke detector responds to smoke particles in the air, while the temperature sensor can sound an alarm in the event of a rapid or abnormal increase in the ambient temperature.

This combination increases the chance of early detection, even in situations where smoke development is limited but the risk of fire is still present.

Internal siren and direct notifications

When smoke or heat is detected, the FireProtect 2 RB activates an internal siren, so an audible alarm sounds immediately, even without a smartphone. You'll also receive a notification via the Ajax app, so you can quickly stay informed of the situation, even remotely.

When multiple Ajax fire detectors are connected to the same system, they can synchronize alarms. This allows fire hazards to be signaled simultaneously in multiple rooms.

Applications and placement

The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB is suitable for installation in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, offices, and other indoor spaces where fire detection is required. The combination of smoke and heat detection also provides additional security in areas where heat can build up more quickly, such as kitchens (outside of direct cooking areas).

The detector is typically mounted to the ceiling using the included mounting plate. You can easily test its operation and check its status using the Ajax app.

The FireProtect 2 RB communicates wirelessly with the Ajax Hub via the secure Jeweller protocol. The connection is encrypted and continuously monitored for range and interference. Thanks to the built-in battery with a lifespan of up to approximately 7 years, maintenance is minimal.
