The biggest distinction between the models can be made in the fact whether they are intended to be carried with you or to be concealed somewhere, for example to monitor a room.

A button, glasses or pen model are some of the models that are suitable for filming while, for example, you have an important conversation or are walking in a shopping street. These spycams are connected with a cable to a smartphone that contains a 4G or 5G SIM card. You can view the images yourself via an app on the smartphone and change settings if necessary. On another phone or PC it is then possible to watch directly from a distance.

4G / 5G spycams to hide in something

A pinhole model of this variant is the most common. This system consists of a pinhole camera and a 4G or 5G SIM card router. You need to connect the spycam to the router and both devices need power. Then you hide the pinhole spycam in an object and set it. On a smartphone App, you can then view the 4G / 5G SIM card camera directly from any location where you have internet and also view the recorded images.

The big advantage as described above is the independence of the internet access at the place where you want to use the spy camera. In combination with the use of a battery or battery, the possible applications and suitable places for placement are enormous.

The disadvantage of these spycams is that the purchase and use can be more expensive than with WiFi or other spycams. This is because the SIM card you insert must have sufficient data and the data consumption of these mobile cameras is quite high. You can compare this with video calling on your mobile phone. Nowadays, certain data bundles can be purchased cheaply from most providers, which can save a lot of money.
