GSM alarm system

A GSM alarm system is often used in places where there is no fixed internet or no access to it. This includes, for example, garage boxes and sheds, but also caravans, campers and trailers. Because communication in the event of an alarm with a GSM alarm system goes through the mobile network, it is still possible to secure such objects. In addition to an Ethernet connection, our latest range of ELITE models also have a GSM SIM card slot. As a result, these systems can be used in hybrid form.

In addition to the above advantages regarding the locations where a GSM alarm can be placed, a GSM alarm also has the advantage that it is easy to use. In the event of an alarm, you will be called or receive a text message and, depending on the type of GSM alarm, you can then call the number of the SIM card in the GSM alarm to hear what sounds are in the area.

Possible drawbacks

A GSM alarm system has the disadvantage that if the SIM card is not active or has insufficient credit, the alarm cannot send a notification. With a GSM alarm, you must therefore ensure that a subscription is placed in it if you do not want to worry about it or, with a pre-paid card, ensure that the SIM card continues to work. You do this by topping up the call credit every 3 months and occasionally, depending on the number of alarms generated, check whether there is still enough credit on the SIM card in the GSM alarm to make an alarm.
