When to use a camera microphone?
As soon as you have a security camera with a microphone connection, you can use it. However, most camera microphones require a separate power supply, so there must be a power point nearby where you want to place the camera microphone.
Recording of sound is not always allowed
The use of a surveillance camera microphone to record sound is not allowed in all situations. You must therefore check whether this is legally permitted in the place where the security camera is installed. This is not allowed in an office space, for example.
