Ajax Hub 2 wireless alarm system White SMART

This Ajax Hub 2 alarm starter kit 2 Plus SMART, color white is a complete wireless alarm system of high quality made in the EU. This dual-band Hub 2 alarm system comes with a base station, PIR motion detector, magnetic contact and remote control.

How does the Ajax Hub 2 alarm system work:
The Hub is the central point of this Ajax alarm system. You connect this box to the mains and to your router with a network cable or via Wi-Fi. Optionally, a SIM card can also be placed in the Hub so that an alarm can still be given if the internet signal is lost and the system can be used in places without internet. The Hub makes a wireless connection to the various components that work on battery. The wireless connection in this alarm system goes via the secure Jeweller protocol. This means that a two-way connection is established between the base station and the components, which increases safety. When a sensor sends an alarm message to the base station, the Hub will send a signal to the siren to go off and at the same time give you and possibly other users an alarm message on your phone.

No monthly fees:
Unlike many alarm systems the Ajax alarm systems do not have monthly subscription costs. For example, the use of the App is free and any firmware updates are also included in the purchase price. Of course, any costs for using the internet and/or a connection to an external control room are not included in the purchase price.

Install it yourself or have it installed?
Although this alarm system is easy to install yourself, you can of course also have the system installed at your location. We are happy to put you in touch with a specialized company, so that their experienced installers ensure proper operation, adjust the settings to your wishes and provide you with an extensive product explanation.

Setting up the Hub 2:
You set the Hub and accessories to your desired settings via the Smartphone App. This App, which is available in various languages, including Dutch, French and German, guides you step by step through setting up the alarm system. When you have then fully set up the system, you can operate it via the same App, but also via the remote control.

Dual-band Wi-Fi:
Unlike other wireless alarm systems that only support 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi, you can also use the 5.8 Ghz band with this alarm system. Of course, it is still possible to connect the hub to your router with an Ethernet cable or to use a SIM card with this SMART alarm system.

4G/LTE support:
This hub supports speeds up to 4G, making it better suited for stand-alone use than other systems that operate on 2G.

Operation MotionProtect PIR motion detector:
The MotionProtect is a wireless PIR motion detector that works on battery and sends a signal wirelessly to the hub when motion is detected. The motion detector has a detection range of up to 12 meters, 3 sensitivity levels and does not respond to pets up to 20 kg and up to 50 cm high.

Operation of DoorProtect magnetic contact:
The DoorProtect is a wireless magnetic contact detector that can be placed on a window or door. The DoorProtect will send a wireless signal to the Hub when the magnet separates. By using powerful magnets, they can be placed up to 2cm apart.

Operation of SpaceControl remote control:
The SpaceControl is a remote control for the alarm system. In addition to buttons to switch the alarm on and off, this remote control also has an SOS button. When this button is pressed, the alarm will immediately sound an alarm, even if it is not switched on.

Wireless but secure:
Where other wireless alarm systems have the risk of jamming or disrupting the signal, the SMART alarm system has a special function for this. The communication between the Hub and the detectors is 2-way. This means that every 12-300 seconds (self-adjustable) a check takes place to see if the detectors are still responding. If a connection can no longer be made, the system will give an alarm message.

Optional: Inserting a (backup) SIM card:
Optionally, a SIM card can also be placed in the Hub so that an alarm can still be given when the internet signal is lost. We supply certain SIM cards for this purpose, which you can find under the heading accessories. This SIM card ensures that when the internet is lost or when you do not have fixed internet at the location, the system can still be used.

Expanding the Ajax alarm system:
The alarm system has many expansion options. Up to 100 detectors and up to 10 surveillance cameras can be connected to the Hub base station. There are also various Hubs, each with its own options. See below under accessories for the recommended expansions or contact us for a suitable proposal.
