How does the Ajax Systems SMART alarm system work?

This wireless connection uses the secure Jeweller protocol, creating a two-way connection between the Hub and the detectors.
When a sensor sends an alarm to the Hub, it will activate the siren (if present) and simultaneously notify you and any other users via the smartphone app. This allows you to immediately see what's happening and take action quickly.
No monthly fees

Setting up the Ajax Hub 1
The Ajax Hub 1 and its accessories are configured using the Ajax smartphone app. This app is available in multiple languages, including Dutch, French, and German. Once everything is configured, you can control the system via the same app and, of course, the included remote control.
How MotionProtect PIR motion detector works
The Ajax MotionProtect is a battery-powered, wireless PIR motion detector. When motion is detected, the detector sends a wireless signal to the Hub. The motion detector has a detection range of up to approximately 12 meters, features three sensitivity levels, and is pet-friendly: pets up to approximately 20 kg and 50 cm tall are normally ignored, thus minimizing unnecessary alerts.
Operation of DoorProtect magnetic contact
The Ajax DoorProtect is a wireless magnetic contact for windows and doors. As soon as the door or window is opened and the magnet moves away from the main body, the detector sends a signal to the Hub. Thanks to the powerful magnets, the parts can be placed up to approximately 2 cm apart, making installation even possible on less rigid frames.
SpaceControl remote control operation
The Ajax SpaceControl is the wireless remote control for your alarm system. You can use it to arm and disarm the alarm and activate night mode or partial arming. The remote control also has an SOS button: pressing this button will immediately trigger an alarm, even if the alarm system isn't currently armed.
Wireless, but secure
Many wireless alarm systems run the risk of an attacker attempting to disrupt (jam) the radio signal. Ajax takes this into account. Communication between the Hub and the detectors is two-way and continuously monitored. Every 12 to 300 seconds (adjustable), the detectors are checked for response. In addition, jamming and jamming attempts are detected. If a connection to the detectors can no longer be established or if jamming is detected, the system issues a notification.
Optional: inserting a (backup) SIM card
The Ajax Hub 1 can optionally accommodate a SIM card. This is especially useful if you want to continue receiving notifications during an internet outage, or if there's no fixed internet available at your location.
