The Ajax Systems Photo Alarm Kit SMART is a complete set that includes a PIR motion detector with a built-in indoor photo camera and a wireless base station (Hub). The Hub connects to the internet via an Ethernet cable or SIM card. As soon as the photo PIR camera detects motion, you'll receive an SMS, phone call, or push notification on your smartphone. The battery-powered motion detector sends a wireless signal to the Hub when motion is detected. Place the photo PIR detector wherever you want to protect it, such as a hallway, living room, office, or warehouse. If desired, you can expand the system with an indoor or outdoor siren for an audible alarm.

How does the Ajax Photo alarm kit SMART work?

The Ajax Hub is the central component of this photo alarm. You connect the Hub to your router with an Ethernet cable, or insert a SIM card to work via the mobile network. Then, install the Ajax app on your smartphone (Android or iOS). In the app, you add the photo PIR detector, set the sensitivity, and choose how you want to receive notifications. When motion is detected, the detector automatically takes one or more photos and sends them to your phone via the Hub, so you can immediately see what's happening.

No monthly fees

Unlike many other alarm systems, this Ajax Photo Alarm Kit SMART operates without mandatory monthly subscription fees. The Ajax app is free to use, and firmware updates are included in the purchase price. Any costs for your own internet connection, SIM card, or an optional external monitoring station are your own responsibility, but for regular use of this photo alarm kit, there's no fixed monthly fee.

This significantly reduces the number of false alarms caused by pets. Moving curtains and slight changes in shadow or light are also filtered out as much as possible.

Expand to a complete alarm system

The Ajax Photo Alarm Kit SMART can serve as the foundation for a complete wireless alarm system. Up to approximately 100 wireless detectors can be connected to the Ajax Hub, such as additional motion detectors (with or without cameras), magnetic contacts on windows and doors, smoke detectors, water leak detectors, sirens, and panic buttons. This allows you to gradually expand from a single photo PIR detector to a complete alarm system.

Wireless yet safe and secured against sabotage

Communication between the Hub and the detectors runs via the encrypted Jeweller protocol. The system periodically checks (every 12–300 seconds, adjustable) whether all detectors are still responding correctly. In the event of malfunctions, sabotage, or jamming attempts, a notification is immediately sent to the app. This combines the convenience of wireless with the reliability you expect from a modern alarm system.
