How does the Knoop camera 4G set SMART work?

The camera connects to a portable 4G MiFi hotspot. Insert a SIM card with data into this hotspot. You can connect the camera to the hotspot's WiFi network once via the OKAM Pro app, after which the camera and hotspot can remain together on location while you watch live remotely.

For stable operation, a distance of approximately 5 meters between camera and hotspot is recommended. In favorable conditions this can increase to approximately 10 meters, depending on the environment and any obstacles.

Use with smartphone as a hotspot

Although this set comes standard with a 4G MiFi hotspot, some users choose to connect the button camera to a smartphone that acts as a WiFi hotspot. In that case, the live image can be viewed via the OKAM Pro app and possibly shared via other apps.

Reading text from screen and paper

The 13 cm extended close-focus lens is specially tailored to detail reproduction. This keeps text on screens such as monitors, laptops and smartphones clearly legible. Text on paper and documents can also be captured clearly, provided the camera is positioned correctly and there is sufficient light.

Performance is highly dependent on positioning, distance and lighting conditions. This camera is not intended for reading text at a greater distance or for capturing moving text in razor-sharp clarity at a great distance. This set is particularly suitable for close-up and targeted use.

Lightweight and discreet to use

Weighing approximately 160 grams, the camera is light enough to sew or attach with a safety pin. Placement is possible in, for example, a shirt, lapel of a jacket, sleeve of a sweater, scarf or similar item of clothing.

Watch and communicate live

Practical operating time in practice
