The white Ajax GlassProtect is a compact, wireless glass break sensor specifically designed for early detection of break-ins through windows. The sensor is battery-powered and immediately sends a notification to the Ajax SMART alarm system upon detection. Thanks to intelligent sound analysis, the GlassProtect distinguishes actual glass breakage from ambient noise, significantly reducing false alarms.

Glass breakage detection with dual analysis
The Ajax GlassProtect uses a sensitive microphone that analyzes two sound signatures. First, it recognizes the low-frequency sound of a blow or impact, followed by the high-frequency sound of breaking glass. Only when both signals are detected in the correct sequence does the sensor send an alarm.
This dual detection prevents normal sounds such as thunder, barking dogs or traffic from triggering an alarm.
Reach and placement
The glass break sensor can detect broken glass up to a distance of approximately 9 meters. For reliable operation, you typically mount the GlassProtect on a wall or ceiling, pointing it at the window or glass surface you want to protect. The sensor doesn't need to be mounted directly on the window and also works on single- or double-glazed windows.
