Ajax CombiProtect Black

The black Ajax CombiProtect is a smart wireless glass and motion detector that combines two security functions in one compact device. This sensor detects both motion via a PIR sensor and glass breakage via a built-in acoustic detector. Combined with the Ajax SMART alarm system, you'll receive an immediate notification of suspicious activity, allowing you to act quickly.

The black version is often chosen for modern interiors, commercial buildings, or spaces with dark window frames, where the sensor is visually less noticeable. This makes the CombiProtect suitable for living rooms, offices, shops, and other spaces with windows or glass doors where you want to detect both motion and glass breakage without installing multiple separate sensors.

Motion detection and glass breakage in one sensor

The PIR motion detector detects human movement up to approximately 12 meters away. Simultaneously, the built-in glass break sensor analyzes the sound of an impact followed by the shattering of glass. Glass breakage can be detected up to a distance of approximately 9 meters.

This combination protects a room against both intrusion and burglary by breaking windows or glass doors. In the Ajax app, you can test the sensor and adjust the settings to suit the room and its intended use.

Pet-friendly and fewer false alarms

Thanks to the SmartDetect algorithm and FresnelTech optical system, the Ajax CombiProtect is pet-friendly. Movements from animals up to approximately 20 kg and 50 cm in height can be ignored, preventing false alarms during normal indoor use.

In addition, signal analysis helps filter out disruptive influences such as moving curtains, vibrating blinds, and other environmental factors. This makes the sensor reliable in everyday situations, even in rooms where light and airflows can fluctuate.

Wireless communication and security

The CombiProtect communicates wirelessly with the Ajax Hub using the secure Jeweller protocol. The connection is encrypted and continuously monitored for range, tampering, and interference. If a signal is detected, you'll receive an immediate notification via the Ajax app.

The Grade 2 certification also makes the sensor suitable for applications where reliability and professional security standards are important.

Installation and use

The sensor is typically installed at a height of approximately 2.4 meters, with an unobstructed view of the room and aimed at the windows to be protected. You can easily adjust sensitivity, test functions, and notifications via the Ajax app.

The glass break detection is intended for continuous monitoring, while the motion detection depends on the set alarm mode and rights per user or room.
