This wireless mini camera set consists of a pinhole camera, recorder, and powerline adapter. This allows the mini camera to be used wirelessly, while the recorder records the images, allowing you to access them with your smartphone.
Wireless operation, mini camera set:
Connect the mini pinhole camera to the Powerline adapter transmitter using the included network cable. Then, place the recorder in another location in the same building and connect it to the Powerline adapter receiver. The images from the mini camera will then be sent to the recorder via the location's electrical network, eliminating the need to run a cable between the mini camera and the recorder.
Starlight technology mini camera:
By using the new generation of "Starlight" light-sensitive lenses, superior image quality is achieved in limited light. This light-sensitive Starlight lens can film with much more detail in low light than a conventional mini camera.
Motion detection and recording HD recorder:
This HD recorder comes with a 1TB hard drive and is configured by default to record motion. Even the three seconds before the motion is detected are recorded, ensuring you always have a complete record of the event. With four cameras, it can take up to a month on average for the hard drive to fill up. When this happens, the oldest footage is automatically overwritten. A clever feature of this recorder is that a snapshot of the motion can also be uploaded to your Dropbox account. This way, the footage is safe if your recorder is stolen or damaged. A Dropbox account is free to create at dropbox.com and functions as a kind of personal hard drive on the internet.
Viewing images via the HD recorder APP:
The free app that comes with the HD recorder is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, iPhone, and Android. Simply connect the recorder to your router using the included network cable, and the rest is seamless, with no need to adjust any settings. From that moment on, you can view both live and recorded footage from the same location, at the office, or even when traveling abroad. If motion is detected, you'll also receive a push notification via the app on your smartphone.
Viewing images on a TV (monitor):
The HD (UTP) recorder can be connected directly to a TV or other monitor with an HDMI input using the included HDMI cable. The HD (UTP) recorder also has a VGA output for use with monitors that don't yet support HDMI.
