AV wireless receivers and transmitters can be used for all kinds of different applications where video and audio must be transmitted wirelessly. For example, AV receivers and transmitters are widely used with security cameras to send images and possibly sound wirelessly, but nowadays also more and more with FPV devices. With FPV devices, the device is controlled by the view of the camera installed on the FPV device. The video is transmitted via an AV transmitter and receiver that are very small in size especially for this application.

With camera systems, AV receivers and transmitters are frequently used to send the video signal wirelessly instead of with a cable. Especially at locations where pulling a video cable is difficult or not possible, this solution is often chosen. There are AV receivers and transmitters in all kinds of different forms, for which an AV transmitter and receiver with conversion are often chosen for the application with security cameras. The av transmitters and receiver are available in 1.2, 2.4 and 5.8 mhz, whereby it is not permitted to use the 1.2 ghz band in the Netherlands. Also, the permit is not allowed to use AV transmitters that have a stronger transmission power than 10 mW.

AV receivers and transmitters for FPV devices:
For FPV devices, AV receivers and transmitters are used to transmit the video and / or audio signal from the FPV camera. Need for this application is of course the size of the AV transmitter and in contrast with the security camera application only the module is used here. There are different AV transmitters and receivers for sale, whereby it is always a trade-off between the size of the AV transmitter and the desired transmission power. AV transmitters for FPV devices are also available in 1.2, 2.4 and 5.8 mhz versions. Although the 1.2 mhz is very popular with owners of FPV devices, it is not allowed in the Netherlands to send on this band.
